1. The definintion of college is probably not what you think...
College is a 4 year college, 2 year college, trade school, or apprenticeship... Basically, any credential/education after high school. Most times, people just think of a 4 year college or university when they hear the word college, but in Newaygo County, we see college as any completed credential after high school. So, no matter if you're going to a university, community college, trade school, or doing an apprenticeship or certification, YOU ARE GOING TO COLLEGE.
2. There are a lot of positives

More and more jobs require college degrees. Only 34% of American jobs require a high school diploma or less in 2017, compared to 72% in the 1970s.
College graduates have more and better employment opportunities. Unemployment rates drop for college graduates and less were underemployed, compared to people with a high school diploma or less.
College graduates have lower poverty rates. 4% compared to a high school diploma holder's 12% poverty rate.
