The White Cloud Public Schools Nutrition Services department will be making some adjustments to how families may access meals for their students who are enrolled in the White Cloud Public Schools District.
The district recognizes that meal access may not be convenient for every family schedule during this difficult time. Therefore, the district felt adjustments needed to be made to better serve our students. The meals will be offered to our virtual students, quarantined students, and those affected by temporary shutdowns.
Starting the week of Monday, November 23rd, the district will be switching from a daily meal pick up to a weekly meal pick up. Each meal box will contain breakfast and lunch for the number of scheduled school days that week. For example: If there are three scheduled days that week then each student in the family will receive 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches. If there are 5 then students will receive meals for those 5 days. Meals will now need to be pre-ordered online and will no longer be available without signing up prior to the designated cut off day and time.
Those families requesting meals will need to sign up by Sunday at Noon for Monday pick up. Pick-up will be Mondays from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Jr. High gym entrance. A meal order form will need to be filled out for each student of the household requesting meals each week. Required fields to fill out and submit the form include the student’s name, student’s ID number, grade, and phone number. The form is located on the White Cloud Public Schools website under Nutrition Services.
